The new wastewater treatment plant serving Cormatin (Saône-et-Loire) was commissioned to service in summer 2015.

The commune had elected to equip itself with a reedbed constructed wetland solution and opted for the SCIRPE-patented Azoé®-NP process system to meet effluent quality requirements on total nitrogen and phosphorus discharge into a sensitive watershed—the Grosne river.

Characteristics of the new facility:
Capacity: 1,000 PE
Azoé®-NP process system: Pre-treatment via a two-stage vertical-flow trickling-biofilter constructed wetlandverticaux par filtres plantés de roseaux
